Paula Michalak, MA, LPC

Paula suggests that therapy builds on qualities that we already have in order for us to feel better equipped to navigate life challenges.  Regular sessions offer a sacred space to explore dimensions that are vitally important to our well-being – values, relationships, communication.

“Compassion, respect, patience, humor – and maybe some wisdom – are qualities that I endeavor to bring to the therapeutic relationship.”

While there is enormous potential for growth, therapy is difficult work that requires courage, strength, and vulnerability. “When you ‘can’t see the forest for the trees,’” she says, “a therapist can offer an intimate outsider’s perspective, partnering with you to explore and heal hurtful experiences while also laying a path for a healthier future.”

Paula works from an attachment-based, trauma-informed perspective.

She has a master’s degree in counseling from Eastern Michigan University. Paula is currently not accepting new clients..
